NST Non-Stabilized Chlorine Tablets
Do not allow this product in any chlorinating device which has previously contained other chemicals.
- Use only in pools with a skimmer and skimmer basket.
- Skimmer basket should be free of all other water treatment.
- Place tablet in the empty skimmer basket.
- Replace with a new tablet as needed. Do not mix with other products or dissolve before use.
Defend+ Algaecide
Defend+ Algaecide Useful Tips:
- Ideal for treating green, black, and yellow algae.
- Shake well before measuring out the required amount of product.
- Use as Step 3 within the Poolife Brite Stix System and the Poolife Multipurpose Tablet System.
Defend+ Algaecide Dosage:
- Initial Treatment for prevention of algae growth in Clear Pool water: 12 ounces of Poolife Defend+ for every 10,000 gallons of pool water
- Initial Treatment for pools with visible algae growth: 16-24 ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water. remove dead algae by vacuuming the pool
- Black Algae Control: 16 ounces for every 10,000 gallons of pool water. Brush black algae spots daily to remove dead algae. vac pool
- To Maintain an Algae Free pool: weekly add 4-8 ounces of Poolife Defend+ per 10,000 gallons of pool water.

- 75% minimum available chlorine
- Works fast to combat algae and bacteria
- No need to pre-dissolve
- Good for all pool surfaces
- Shock treat at least once a week
- For best results always ensure pH is correct before shock treating your pool
Water Balance:
For optimum product performance, swimmer comfort and crystal clear water, always maintain pH from 7.2 to 7.6, total alkalinity from 60 to 120 ppm and calcium hardness above 200 ppm. Test frequently using a reliable test kit that measure all the above ranges. Use Poolife pool care products to make adjustments. Follow label directions for each product. Do not enter pool until free available chlorine residual is 1-4 ppm for each of the below water treatment applications.
Opening Your Pool:
For best results, see Water Balance section before treatment. Adjust and maintain ph in the 7.2 to 7.6 range. Follow “Shock Treatment” directions on this package. Test free available chlorine residual with a pool test kit. Repeat treatment as needed.
Routine Chlorination:
For best results, see Water Balance section before treatment. Throughout the pool season, adjust pH to 7.2 to 7.6.
Begin using 1 tablet of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water. After one day, use a suitable test kit to check free available chlorine residual. Increase or decrease the number of tablets to maintain a free available residual of 1-4 ppm.
Shock Treatment / SuperChlorination:
For best results, see Water Balance section before treatment. Adjust pH to 7.2 to 7.6 with Poolife water balance adjusters. Follow label directions. Shock treat using Poolife Quick Swim Oxidizer. Follow label directions on that product. Do not reenter pool until the free available chlorine residual is 1 to 4 ppm.
