Description
Polaris C80 Turbine Bearing
The Polaris C80 Vac-Sweep 280 / 180 / 280 TankTrax Pressure Cleaner Ball Bearings, Turbine (C80) The turbine ball bearings are made and designed to use with Polaris pressure-side in-ground pool cleaner models. These bearings are made from the same high-grade materials used for the original factory part. Making them trusted OEM products. These bearings are located on opposite ends of the drive shaft assembly. The purpose of these bearings is to help the drive shaft rotate. Giving the cleaner the power and ability to maneuver around the entirety of the pool’s surface. This way it can suck and pull dirt debris and other forms of mulch off its surface. These parts are larger than the normal ball bearings used for the other parts and are blue. They have several steel balls located inside which give them the ability to rotate. The cleaner requires 2 of them which are located in the center of the cleaner’s internals.
For more than 40 years, Polaris has been known worldwide for its quality and best-in-class automatic pool cleaners. Birthed in 1973 Polaris later became part of the Zodiac pool systems company which is now apart of the Fluidra family of pool products, with Polaris being designated for pressure cleaners and Zodiac for suction based cleaners. Why a Polaris pool cleaner? The Polaris cleaners utilize pressure cleaning to keep the skimmers free to remove surface debris and contaminates from the pool. With maximized circulation the pressure cleaners move clean and heated water throughout the pool. The cleaners add reduced maintenance by capturing debris before they reach the filter to prolong the filters life. A pressure-side pool cleaner connects either directly to a dedicated pressure cleaner line or a return outlet in your pool. The dedicated pressure line or return outlet is the last part of your pool’s filtration system. After filtering, the pump releases clean water back into the pool via the return outlet. Typically, a pressure-side pool cleaner uses water pressure from a dedicated booster pump to drive the cleaner around your pool. There are some models of pressure-side cleaners that, with some adjustments to pool equipment, will operate off of a standard return line. Whether it’s connected to a separate booster pump or to a standard return line, the pressure-side pool cleaner moves around the pool, using clean and treated water to create suction and collect debris into a filter bag attached to the cleaner. In addition to capturing debris in its filter bag, pressure cleaners work by loosening other debris so that if it is not picked up by your cleaner, it enables these particles to flow out of your swimming pool into your pool’s natural filtration system.
