I installed it on my current pole whose locking mechanism broke. Works fine but the one problem is the glue it comes with. Excellent glue but the top cannot come off as it is glued to the bottle. I had to use a pair of pliers on the cap and hold the bottle but the glass bottle shattered and the glue got on my hands and a small amount in my hair. Nail polish remover dissolved the glue somewhat on my hands and 2 days later the glue peeled off. On my hair, it was just the tips so it could be cut off.
