This is a Grate Insert Inlet Fitting, 1-1/2 inch MIP threaded, in the color gray. This is a grate insert for a wall-mounted 1-1/2 inch MIP suction fitting. It is used as a safety grate to prevent most forms of entrapment by a vacuum line or low-water suction line. It is not generally used on wall return fittings but is used on suction fittings. Just screws into a 1-1/2 inch return fitting. Comparable to Hayward SP1026GR.
